Bank called today. Looks like car pickup will be on Monday. Which means I probably won’t be able to go zooming about the countryside until next weekend.
A quick SMC Reset and a rearrangement of the mini has cured the heat/sluggish problem. Mac mini sounded like it was taking off the runway!
macOS Monterey was working great until I opened chrome this morning. Then google meet. I noticed it was very sluggish so after class I patched the system. Now it’s a bucket of slime. Great!
Installed macOS Monterey this weekend on the 2012 Mac mini. It seems to run pretty smooth, probably because it’s a Metal enabled GPU. A few minor glitches here and there but ongoing development in patches over time should solve those.
